Poll Context: In an interview with Sean Hannity, Ted Cruz insisted that it’s his own fault that Trump loses voter-less elections,
“I cannot help that the Donald Trump campaign is incapable of running a lemonade stand,”
Hannity was trying to get Cruz to explain the delegate system and frustrating Hannity with his non answers and diversions that,
“only the hardcore Donald Trump supporters” care about.
The interview went on,
Hannity: “Senator, why do you do this? Every single time — no, you gotta stop!”
“Every time I have you on the air and I ask you a legitimate question, you try to throw this in my face, I’m getting sick of it!”
Cruz: “Sean, can I answer your last question without being interrupted?”
Cruz then explained the delegate system and insisted that the “noise and complaining and whining” about the process is only coming from Trump and his supporters.
“I cannot help that the Donald Trump campaign is incapable of running a lemonade stand,” Cruz told Hannity. “Elections are won by voters and grassroots activists going up and voting for the candidate they support, and we are winning election, after election, election and nobody — as I’m traveling the country — nobody is asking me [about the delegate system] expect for the Trumpsters and people repeating it.”
“If you lose, don’t cry about it, go back and learn how to win an election,” he added.
Hannity wasn’t satisfied and pressed on, “it’s a simple question, it’s not a Trump question.”
“Senator, I don’t know why you’re mad,” Hannity later said. “I’m trying to understand it — I’m literally having a hard time understanding why you’re getting angry at this.
What do think? Is the delegate system fair?
